OBJECTIFS PÉDAGOGIQUES
EPOG 2 (Economic Policies in the Age of Globalisation 2.0) is an international Master’s course in which students are being awarded a double diploma. Fully in English, EPOG2 is based on the specific and internationally recognized skills embedded in each of the institutions taking part in EPOG, namely the Berlin School of Economics and Law (Germany), Kingston University (United Kingdom), the University of Witwatersrand (South Africa) the University degli Studi Roma Tre (Italy), Université de Paris and Université Sorbonne Paris Nord.
The key objective of EPOG2 is to train high-level experts in macroeconomics, finance, sustainability and the ecological transition. EPOG2 is an innovative and unique master program that systematically articulates sustainability issues with macroeconomics, innovation, corporate responsibility and development. Seasoned experts in critical thinking, endowed with a broad culture in economics and management, students graduating from EPOG2 are able to bring a new perspective to the complex economic phenomena as they occur in today’s globalized world.
Students choose between two options:
I. International Macroeconomics, Financial Regulations and Sustainability, coordinated by Université Sorbonne Paris Nord, focuses on understanding and modelling the global macroeconomic context and on economic policy-making in open economies. Key topics include the underlying structural causes of growing income inequality and how financial instability influences growth and development patterns in the globalized world and how innovation, finance and governance can be changed in order to put sustainability issues at the core of the decision-making process.
II. Development and Sustainability: Policies, States and Corporations, coordinated by Université de Paris, puts more emphasis on the role of corporations and other key stakeholders and on sectoral approaches. The goal is to analyse how authorities can successfully promote innovation, economic development and environmental policies. The transition to a low-carbon economy in the face of a potentially devastating climate change is a central theme in this option.
Further information about EPOG 2.0 can be found on the dedicated website
Together with EPOG+, EPOG 2 is part of the EPOG family
